Reign Dancing

Issue #138 on COB on Microsoft Live
Created on November 27, 2011

Mymantra has long been that God can take misery and turn it into a ministry. While this is true, a person has to want to be used.I find more often than not that misery does in fact like company and certain people have enough company to form an army.We all know that person. You know Mr. or Mrs. Me too!?They feel worse, hurt more, been there, done that and nothing can ever be about anyone else.If pity had a party they would be V.I.P’s.

I often wonder how these sorts of people can claim a relationship with God.I mean, I know we are human and we have feelings, but I really don’t think that they know how to be encouraged in the Lord.Nothing you seem to say makes them feel better. No amount of help you give is ever good enough. They just want to argue and complain and get pity and sympathy. It is almost as if they run away from the help and encouragement they seem to be seeking.

When you really trust in God and lean on His word, no matter what feelings of humanity you have physically and mentally, there is something inside that keeps us centered spiritually. There is something there that counteracts our possessive nouns with the hope of Christ. It is a blessed thing to be able to turn an “I don’t know how I am going to make it,” into a “God knows and He is able.”If we could withstand the devil on our own, we wouldn’t need God.

I have said it many times that a believers life is not his own, but it is a witness to and of the power of God.No matter how bad things look from your view, remember that God is looking down! When you climb to the top of the stairs and look down, things seem smaller! We need to start looking at things from Gods perspective not our own.Our gripes and complaints can be pacified by praise and thanks.

We will all have situations that cause us to get frazzled, freak out and even mouth off. There will be plenty of moments of uncertainty and doubt. But the one thing that we have believers that the world doesn’t is Hope.Hope in the Word of Christ.Hope in the gift of salvation and Hope in the right to the tree of Life. When the storms come, don’t just dance in the rain- dance in His reign.
